Knauf Insulation monitors the cost to ship those products as the market fluctuates. Through a fuel surcharge and freight index fee per full or partial truckload some of the market fluctuations are alleviated. By calculating averages for the previous quarter and maintaining a flat rate fee table for each, the adjustments to the fees are determined for the next quarter. Fees are applied based on the order ship date which may differ from the date of the invoice.

Fuel Surcharge

The #2 Diesel Retail Prices provided by the U.S. Energy Information Administration are monitored to determine the average price per gallon range. A fuel surcharge will be applied to invoices according to the following fuel surcharge schedule and chart shown below.

2026 Q1 January – March: English | French

2025 Q2 April – June: English | French

2025 Q3 July – September: English | French

2025 Q4 October – December: English | French

Freight Index Fee

The Cass Truckload Linehaul Index^TM is monitored to determine the average per-mile truckload pricing range. If the average exceeds 125 during the previous calendar quarter, a flat-rate freight index fee will be applied according to the schedule and chart shown below.
